Service Description

Continue building your German with our A1.2 German Course, designed for students who have completed A1.1 or already have a basic knowledge of German. The course builds on the foundations learned at beginner level and helps you communicate with greater confidence in a wider range of everyday situations. Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to: * talk about your daily routine, family, work and leisure activities * use a wider range of regular and irregular verbs * understand and use separable and modal verbs * talk about past events using the German perfect tense * understand the difference between the nominative, accusative and dative cases * use common prepositions with the accusative and dative cases * use personal and possessive pronouns correctly * improve your understanding of German word order * form more complex sentences using common conjunctions * make appointments and talk about dates and times * ask for and give directions * talk about travel and transport * go shopping and ask about prices, sizes and quantities * describe people, places and everyday situations * expand your vocabulary for food, work, home, travel and leisure * communicate more confidently in common everyday situations Build confidence in everyday German Our A1.2 German course is designed to help you progress from basic German towards more confident everyday communication. Every lesson develops all four essential language skills — speaking, listening, reading and writing — with a strong emphasis on using German actively in realistic situations. Classes are deliberately kept small, so everyone has plenty of opportunity to speak, ask questions and receive individual feedback from the teacher. This makes lessons interactive, supportive and enjoyable while helping you improve your accuracy, vocabulary and fluency. We use a carefully selected German textbook as our main course resource, supplemented by additional materials and exercises to consolidate important grammar and vocabulary. By the end of A1.2, you will have completed the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and will be ready to progress to A2.1. What happens after you book? Once you have signed up, we will email you everything you need to get started, including information about the exact course location and the materials for your first lessons. It may be possible to join the course after the start date with some revision lessons. Please contact us to discuss the best option.
