Preparing for the GCSE German exam can be a very challenging experience for several reasons. Not only is German widely considered one of the most difficult European languages, but it is also a tougher subject in which to excel than many others. Worse still, German is often taught fairly poorly at schools, leaving students unmotivated and without the support they need to succeed in their final exams. That’s where my teaching experience proves to be an invaluable asset. I know how to connect with my students and convince them that we can get them to the top grade together. I'm Jens Olesen, the founder and director of Olesen Tuition- one of the UK's leading German language schools. Over 95% of my students studying toward IGCSE German or GCSE German have achieved a grade 9 A* with an average preparation time of three to nine months of weekly German tuition. So, how would I prepare you for your GCSE German exams?

While I deploy similar strategies to those on my methods page, I focus on getting the best possible result in your IGCSE and GCSE exams. I tailor texts and grammar exercises relevant to your specific IGCSE/GCSE papers, run through past papers with you to explain typical questions and requirements and advise you on achieving full marks in all parts of your exam. German grammar, in particular, can be challenging for students to grasp. Still, my explanations will ensure that you master every grammar topic- from the use of German articles to German word order. Having prepared thousands of students for IGCSE/GCSE German, I am confident that my approach works. 

My team of German tutors and I also prepare students for GCSE German exams as an outside option if their schools do not offer German and general German courses for teenagers interested in learning the language without preparing for any exam. Enhanced DBS and references upon request.
