A1.1 (Complete beginner)

 

In our beginner German courses for students without any prior knowledge of the German language, you will learn

With students who are approaching intermediate level, we normally work on

 

B1.1 (Lower-intermediate)

 

At lower-intermediate level, we normally cover the following topics in our B1 German courses

 

  • we consolidate the four German cases and adjective declensions

  • characterising people

  • friendship and other relationships

  • Genitive only prepositions

  • role models and heroes 

  • table manners and other conventions

  • further practice on subjunctive in German

  • the passive voice in German

  • discussing events in past and present

  • revision of Perfekt and Präteritum tense and introduction of Plusquamperfekt

  • living in the city vs. the countryside

B1.2. 

 

With students in-between lower and upper-intermediate level, we usually work on

 

  • the environment and climate change

  • main and subordinate clause connectors 

  • time management 

  • further work on modal verbs in present and past tense

  • learning strategies 

  • further practice on passive voice

  • job adverts and applications

  • further practice on the subjunctive

  • consumption goods and brands

B2.1 (Upper-intermediate level)

 

In our upper-intermediate courses, we usually concentrate on

Working towards fluency in German, in our C1.2 classes we normally cover

C2.1 (Working towards fluency)

 

With our students who are close to being fluent in the language, we usually discuss
