Develop the analytical skills needed to excel in IB German A Our IB German A October Intensive is designed for students studying German A: Language and Literature or German A: Literature who want to deepen their literary understanding, strengthen their analytical writing and prepare confidently for the demands of the IB Diploma Programme. The course is ideal for students aiming for Grades 6 and 7, improving their predicted grades or preparing for competitive university applications. Over five intensive days, students develop the critical thinking, close reading and academic writing skills required to succeed in IB German A. Particular emphasis is placed on constructing sophisticated literary arguments, analysing language and style, integrating textual evidence effectively and writing well-structured, insightful essays that meet the highest IB assessment standards. Students also receive expert preparation for the Individual Oral, learning how to present convincing interpretations and respond confidently to follow-up questions. The course is taught by Jens Olesen, author of widely used revision guides on many of the works studied in IB German courses.
