About

Hello, I'm Jens. I'm an Oxford-educated German tutor with over 25 years of teaching experience and the founder and director of Olesen Tuition. Originally from a town near Cologne in Germany, I founded my company in 2015 with the aim of offering high-quality German lessons. Over the years, my language school has grown quite considerably. We currently have nine excellent German tutors who are teaching alongside me. I regularly blog about the German language, providing answers to questions my students have raised over the years, and I share my firsthand tips on how to learn German more effectively. I look forward to reading your comments!

Can You Really Learn German Online? The Evidence Says Yes
Many people wonder whether it's really possible to become fluent in German without attending face-to-face lessons. The answer may surprise you. Today, that's no longer true. Advances in video conferencing, interactive teaching methods and digital learning resources have transformed online language learning....
